Ok, so I guess I'm the 1st to leave something here... cool... so i guess the rest of you aren't as excited about this as i am.. anyway, I'm Luvette Gunning from BHS. I didnt expect the first day of CS to pull off as it did, and Ms. Washington did a gud job of making it 'sound' interesting... so I'm lookin forward to the new and definately different experience this term!
hi everyone, yea luvette u beat me to it. i really enjoyed class today. miss was very interactive which made me very interested in her class. i learnt alot from just talking and i really hope to learn even more through out the entire term and year.

oh well i guess I'm the fourth person to comment here. firstly i am Candace radgman and i went to bhs for 5 years.well today was my 1st Caribbean studies class, it was real exciting, fun and educational all at once.(now i actually know what Caribbean studies is about.lol)i can't wait to really get started with this subject, ms Washington is funny so i know its gonna b alot of fun!!

Hi guys im finally here! it took a while cause i go t lost in the process and created my own blog instead (so i would have been the first to blog not LU...oh well ). Anyway my name is Aileen Alexander and Caribbean studies was a Blast.I expect great thing and i think that it will boost my confidence since i might have to speak in front of a class for my class eventually. Im looking forward to this new experience.

Hey everybody really don't no what i'm doing, but i think i could do this for Miss Washington, Miss seem like she can make anything fun but i hope that the first day wasn't just a one day experience to get us excited and the next days would be just full of work but that everyday would be as fun and interesting as the first.

Hi guys...Well, I just figured out this blogging thing..lol..So far, I am still trying to adapt to Caribbean Studies but I AM ENJOYING MISS WASHINGTON'S CLASS...It's funny, interactive and jus FUN FUN FUN...Well, today we looked at the budget although I didn't see the whole thing (REASON: The bell rang 2 go home)...Well, from what I viewed, it was pretty much what the government says almost all the time (20/20 Vision).etc. with the exceptions of some of the records such as GDP and Exports & Imports...Well, by tomorrow I'll get my facts straight though when I view the entire thing on the papers...Butt anyways, nice blogging and Everyone, have a good night....and See ya'll tomorrow...Laterzz
don't b fool guys. it's another PNM scam. Besides i think that pamala is right when she said that about 85% of the budget have been said said already in the last budget.Did u hear, at all, in the reading of the budget that any money would be allocated to the national security of the country. Cause i didn't.What do u say to that, do u think that the country does not need any more financing in the security department or isn't national security important any more?
i am retracting my previous statement couse i've just heard about the allocation of money to that sector. i still stand with pamala's remarks about the budget it's just old talk don't u say / but who knows there could b a change. nb:pamala said about 81% is is what was said last year's budget not 85%. i guess i got my bearings wrong.....lol.

Well, Becky...looks like she got her education frm the same place all of them did....(NO sense)..yee and taxi fares must increase as a result of a rise in gas prices...cause then the taxi drivers will suffer,,they would be at a loss because they will be paying more for gas and in turn, the users of transportation wont not be affected...It is only fair that the taxi drivers raise their transportation fares so that it could be a win-win situation: EVERYONE SUFFERS!lol...To me that budget was mostly repeating the Problems of T&T..and telling us bout GDP and how much they sold to other countries and so on...T&T needs a new Govt.!!and the people jus complaining and still VOTING for PNM!!Same thing like the bread!!..People complaining bout price but still buying it!!...People need to realize their consumer power!!.THEY DON"T have TO BUY IT!!Make your own bread and Call that George!!or jus switch to an alternative..Put Vita Loaf out of business!Start eating Crix!!!SOMETHING...Jeezzz

ok y do i have d weird feelin dat I'm the alone 1 dat thought d budget was informative but kinda borin! but i learnt alot of stuff. i wouldn't lie it was d same borin thing from d last budget. At least we improve..... slightly but it still have too much grey areas. But IN MY OPINION i find PNM is d lesser of d 2 evils so we need a more effective government cuz $4 for a pie not cuttin it lol!!

Like i saud at the beginning Ann Elle! Ido agree with u whole heartedly but there are some few points that u should consider.(1)Yes u do have a right to say what u want and that's what you're doing.Let me say this;if you were catching car like everyone else i'm certain u will have a different opinion because talking about something and and doing it is a whole new experience.(2)For your information the are some benevolent taxi drivers who have a heart cause they know how people suffering out here, there r some people who don't.Like d other day i caught a taxi from whre i live, signal hill by the way, to school.I am a person who likes to pay thier money up front,so i gave the driver $3, knowing that i'm going to bhs, he decided to drop me in school with no additional charge.Later that very same day i caught another taxi paid $3 from town to signal hill, normally that takes u to the junction of of tranquility.Lucky i thought for me , they was someone going inside to where i live. Not paying attention to it much cause iwas talking to a friend to in the back,the driver drop off the girl right by the apartment where la toya lives and was began to turn aroung his car.So me and the other girl, the one who paid to come in, got out .Not knowing that i was listening to him befpre the girl came out that if i wanted to come in i would have paid my extra $2; He wispered to her softly.It was true that if i wanted to come in i would have paid my extra $2 but the fact of the matter is he had already driven in my street, couldn't he have a heart like the others when they come in an drop me down a little further.Wouldn't that have been a kind thing to do? or am i just paranoid? Don't mind i'll still travel with himcause i had enough money on that day anyways. Oh yea Ann Elle i don't expect then to fell sorry for me or anything.(3)With the Charlotville ordeal, that is what most people do , don't think about the people in Charlotville that's y they r getting so much pressure up there cause people like some of us ( the minister of finance and the government) don't think!(4)Can u name at lease five such cases where people who buy from the canteen had contracted cancer? Further more i do agree with u and kere with not buying from the canteen with their over expensive pies, which is small by the way, would definitely give the outcome that u have very well predicted.(5)Ann Elle have u really tried eating what they bring for grub sometimes? it's despicable! I think that a more resonable solution to this whole thing is to let the minister redirect her aim to a more serious area i.e to the oil and agricultural sectors cause i think that this it what is causing us all these problem, don't u? And btw don't want to b all in your business cause i have mine to see about...LoL.

Okay guys yall talikng real sense and i think that government may be paying drivers for their losses due to high gas prices ( highly doubt it ) Yeah they really dont think anything through! Oh did you all know that this years budget was 102 pgs and last years budget was about 70 -90. I mean Wow! Right now i kinda have no idea wat to write for my presentation on Monday.I think i hve all the info (which is little by the way since most income levels did not really go up ... or did they?)I have a feeling that i have to make a comparison and that is exactly what i'm going to do . Did you all read about Haiti ??? Four hurricanes wow!! That's so unfortunate. I tink we should help them in some way... dont yall ? Its really hard for them since they lost like 90% of their crops. Wow 9 million ppl starving!Most of their crops and livestock washed away and extremely high rice prices makes it worse.
seriosly kayola....those people from haiti almost made me cry....i read in the papers this one time that the UN were providing food for them and stuff but this lady who was apparantly more hungry than everyone else tried to cut in line and a soldier practically grabbed her by her arm telling her she has to wait her turn....lol...it was sad but really funny.... and seriosly if it wasnt for caribbean studies i would have NEVER! watched the bugdet on tv- more less look it up in the paper-
